Biennial Circle Conference of Karnataka Circle


Biennial Circle Conference of Postal Officers’ Association (India), Karnataka Circle  was held on 29.09.2024 at Hotel Naveen Hubballi 


 Following were elected as Circle President, Circle Secretary & Finance Secretary respectively.


Circle President: Mr. Manjunath Hubballi 


Circle Secretary: Amith Kumar Jha 


Finance Secretary: Mr. Vijayanarasimha

Biennial Circle Conference of Postal Officers’ Association (India), Rajasthan Circle  was held on 29.09.2024 at Hotel Om Tower, Jaipur.

Periodical meeting at Dte On 18.09.2024.

  On 18.09.2024 myself  as General Secretary and  Mrs. Anajan M  attended the periodical meeting at Dte. which was Chaired by Respected Secretary Posts Ma'am. Following officers were also present in the meeting:

Respected Member (P), DDG( P),DDG (Est), Director (Staff),ADG Gds and other senior officers of Dte.

Agenda items.

1. Convening DPC for promotion to Junior Time Scale (JTS), Group-A taking all chain vacancies from SAG Cadre to STS for consideration of promotion to JTS DPC from PS Group ‘B’ at the earliest as per the DOPT guidelines for fixation of seniority.


2. All vacancies upto 31.12.2024 in the cadre of STS & JTS to be taken into consideration for JTS DPC.


3. There is need to create new Postal Divisions taking into consideration the number of Post Offices opened since last few years. 10649 Branch Post Offices has been opened resulting in creation of 10649 new posts of Branch Postmasters, 11985 Posts of ABPMs, 225 Posts of PAs, 122 posts of Inspectors and 120 posts of Mail Overseers. All Posts of newly created Branch Postmasters, PAs, Assistant Branch Postmasters, mail Overseers are in operational. New Postal Divisions should be created for better governance and implementation of the services.


In respect of agenda 1 and 2 related to JTS DPC, for which department has proposed DPC for first  four years. File has been sent to UPSC and few queries raised by UPSC which will complied very soon and we may hope good news for four years by the end of October 2024.

     After implementation of outcome of first four year  DPC, Dte. will submit proposal for next four year for which file is almost ready. 

In respect of Agenda No. 3 it was suggested to submit a detail proposal to committee which is presently working for assessment of work of Division and Sub Division  showing justification of creation of new Division.
